Mark Conti with Highland Brewery is dropping by the Squirrel this Thursday and wanted to bring some tasty treats for us.
We'll have Highland's Pilsner, St. Terese, Tasgall, as well their Kinsman Project: Saw-Whet Saison with Key Lime. See below for more detail on the brews.
Highland Pilsner - German Hallertau Blanc hops and three other Hallertau region varietals. Saphir, Perle, and Hersbrucker hops add notes of stone fruit, pepper, and lush grass to the German pilsner malt body. Cold fermented with lager yeast for a crisp, dry finish.
Highland St. Terese - A golden pale having a slightly malty body balanced by an assertive American hop flavor. This pale ale displays a delicate hop nose due to the process of dry hopping.
Highland Tasgall Scotch Ale - Scotland-grown Golden Promise malts with double roasted crystal malt, crystal rye, and a touch of cherry wood-smoked malt for a deeply rich, bold flavor. 8.0% ABV
The Kinsman project is a post-fermentation infusion of all natural ingredients using their flagship beers to create complimentary, playful in rare, small batches.
They infused their Saw-Whet Saison with key limes to transform this spicy, complex farmhouse ale into a bright, citrus-lime quencher with an exceptionally dry finish.
